Children’s Data Policy

How NoWallKid protects and processes information relating to children across the features used by families.

Version 2.0

Last updated: 25 August 2026

1. Purpose

This policy explains how NoWallKid processes information relating to children in connection with the use of the application and family organisation.

NoWallKid is an application intended for parents, legal representatives and authorised adults. Depending on the features used, it may help organise tasks, routines, activities, calendars, transport, medicines, useful information about the child, baby tracking, handovers between authorised adults, family communications and certain interactions with specialists.

NoWallKid is primarily a digital family organisation and coordination tool. It does not replace the responsibilities of parents, legal representatives, authorised adults or professionals involved in the child’s care.

2. Data controller

Data processing activities that fall directly under NoWallKid’s responsibility are carried out by NoWallKid in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Depending on the feature used and the nature of a third party’s involvement, including a specialist, other parties may also be subject to their own legal, professional, contractual and data protection obligations.

3. Responsibility of parents and legal representatives

Parents or legal representatives are responsible for the information they add about their children and for the features they choose to use.

They must ensure that only adequate, accurate, relevant and necessary information is entered when using NoWallKid.

They are also responsible for the access they grant to other adults and should ensure that such access remains appropriate to the needs of the child and family.

Users remain responsible for the information they choose to record, modify, share or delete in NoWallKid.

4. Data that may be involved

Depending on the features used by the family, NoWallKid may allow different categories of information relating to a child to be recorded or processed.

Users are encouraged to avoid entering excessive or unnecessary information, or information unrelated to the feature being used.

  • The child’s first name.
  • The child’s date of birth or age group.
  • Associated tasks, missions, routines and activities.
  • Family or school calendar information.
  • Information relating to school transport or the child’s handover and care arrangements.
  • Baby tracking and baby handover information.
  • Medicines, treatments, doses, schedules and reminders entered by users.
  • Allergies and other relevant health information where the corresponding features are used.
  • Blood group where this information can be entered in the relevant feature.
  • Medical contacts or people to contact when such information is recorded.
  • Information useful in an emergency entered by users.
  • Notes added by parents or authorised adults.
  • Actions performed in the application.
  • History useful for family organisation.
  • Information voluntarily provided in connection with a question, booking or consultation with a specialist where that feature is used.

5. Purposes of processing

Children’s data is processed to provide the features selected by users and to enable NoWallKid to operate.

NoWallKid does not sell or resell children’s personal data.

  • Organise everyday family life.
  • Display tasks, missions, activities and events associated with a child.
  • Manage routines and calendars.
  • Organise transport and handovers.
  • Manage useful reminders and notifications.
  • Support the organisation of medicines and treatments entered by users.
  • Allow parents to retain certain useful information concerning their child.
  • Enable coordination between parents and authorised adults.
  • Adapt access according to roles, permissions and assigned children.
  • Track completed actions and retain useful history.
  • Enable certain questions, bookings or consultations with specialists when a parent uses those features.
  • Protect the security of the service and user accounts.

6. Access by authorised adults

Parents may invite other adults, including relatives, trusted persons, nannies or educators, to participate in certain family organisation features.

Access is determined within the context of each family. The same user may therefore have different rights in different families.

Access to information depends in particular on the user’s role, the permissions granted and the children assigned to that user.

A caregiver or educator does not automatically receive access to all information concerning every child in the family.

Parents or users with the necessary rights may modify or revoke access that has been granted.

Authorised adults must use the information they can access only for the purpose for which that access was granted.

7. Health data, allergies and medicines

Certain NoWallKid features may allow users to record potentially sensitive information concerning a child, including allergies, blood group where available, medical contacts, medicines, treatments, doses, schedules, reminders or information useful in an emergency.

This information is entered by users under their responsibility and should be limited to what is relevant and necessary.

NoWallKid does not medically determine, infer or validate information entered by users.

In particular, NoWallKid does not verify the accuracy of allergies, blood group, medicines, doses, treatments, frequencies, prescriptions or other recorded medical information.

NoWallKid’s organisation, child-profile, reminder and tracking features do not, by themselves, constitute a medical device. NoWallKid does not provide diagnoses, prescriptions or medical advice in its own name.

Medicine-related reminders and notifications are organisational aids. Their sending, receipt or viewing must never be relied upon as the sole measure for ensuring that a treatment is administered.

In a medical emergency, where there is uncertainty regarding a treatment or where there is a question concerning a child’s health, the user must contact the appropriate emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional.

8. Family chat

Family chat allows authorised family members to communicate as part of family organisation.

Users should avoid sharing information about a child in the chat when that information is not necessary for the relevant exchange.

NoWallKid does not systematically read or moderate family chat conversations.

Where the technical architecture of the chat does not allow NoWallKid administrators to access conversation content, NoWallKid cannot review those messages or intervene on the basis of their content.

Participants remain responsible for the information they choose to communicate in their conversations.

9. “Between Us”

The “Between Us” feature is separate from family chat.

It allows a user to voluntarily send a message or testimonial directly to the NoWallKid team.

These messages are therefore intended to be received, reviewed and processed by authorised NoWallKid team members so that they can respond to the user.

Where a message contains information relating to a child, the user should limit that information to what is necessary for the communication with NoWallKid.

Where NoWallKid proposes using a testimonial for publication purposes, the initial submission of the message does not, by itself, constitute authorisation to publish it.

Where the publication-consent mechanism is offered, the user may accept or refuse the corresponding request.

Refusing publication does not prevent normal use of NoWallKid.

10. Specialists and child-related consultations

Certain features may allow a parent or legal representative to ask a question, request a consultation or arrange an appointment with a specialist concerning their child.

The consultation is oriented toward the child concerned and is initiated by a parent or legal representative who has the necessary rights.

Where these features are used, information necessary for the question, booking, follow-up or consultation may be disclosed to the relevant specialist.

Parents should avoid providing a specialist with information that is not necessary for the request or consultation.

Consultation content is not automatically accessible to relatives, caregivers, educators or other adults who may otherwise have access to certain family information.

Specialists may be subject to their own professional, legal, ethical, contractual, confidentiality and data protection obligations.

Any professional assessments, diagnoses, prescriptions or decisions made by a specialist remain the responsibility of that professional within the limits of applicable law and the relevant professional relationship.

NoWallKid provides the infrastructure and digital functionality made available through the service and does not provide the specialist’s medical or professional opinions in its own name.

Specialist consultation features are not an emergency service.

11. Notifications relating to children

NoWallKid may send notifications relating in particular to tasks, medicines, transport, activities or other events concerning a child.

Where a caregiver or educator completes an action delegated to them, the relevant parents may receive a notification depending on the enabled features and their notification preferences.

To limit the exposure of sensitive information on locked screens, certain notifications may deliberately use general wording and invite the user to open the application to view the details.

Notifications are organisational aids and must not be considered a guaranteed monitoring, emergency or child-care mechanism.

12. Data minimisation

NoWallKid encourages users to limit information relating to children to what is strictly necessary for the features they choose to use.

Users should avoid adding excessive information, information unrelated to the intended purpose or unnecessarily sensitive information.

Parents are encouraged to regularly review information recorded about their children, correct information that is no longer accurate and delete information that is no longer necessary.

This minimisation requirement is particularly important for medical information, allergies, documents, free-text notes, conversations and information provided to a specialist.

13. Security and confidentiality

NoWallKid implements reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect family information and children’s data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, accidental disclosure or misuse.

Access mechanisms take into account, in particular, the relevant family, role, permissions and children.

NoWallKid’s internal access depends on the relevant feature and the technical access actually available.

Where technical or administrative access exists for operational, security, support or legal-compliance purposes, it must be limited to authorised persons and the corresponding need.

Despite the measures implemented, no computer system can guarantee absolute security. Users must also protect their credentials, devices and sessions and report any unauthorised use of their account.

14. Technical providers and recipients

NoWallKid may use technical providers necessary for the operation, security, hosting, communications, notifications, subscriptions or support of the service.

Such providers should receive only the data necessary to provide the relevant services, according to their role and the applicable legal framework.

Where a parent uses a specialist feature concerning their child, information necessary for the request may be disclosed to the relevant professional in accordance with the access rules of that feature.

Further information regarding providers, data transfers and their respective roles is available in NoWallKid’s Privacy Policy.

15. Data retention

Children’s data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the features being used, manage family history, protect the security of the service and comply with applicable legal obligations.

The relevant retention period may depend on the nature of the data, the feature being used and the need to retain history requested by users.

Certain data may remain temporarily in technical backups after deletion or may be retained where required by a legal obligation, security requirement or the need to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Where retention remains necessary after a deletion request, access to the relevant data should be restricted to the purpose justifying that retention.

16. Deletion, access, correction and export

Users may exercise the rights available to them under applicable law in relation to their personal data and, where they have the necessary authority or rights, information relating to the children concerned.

Depending on the features available, parents may correct or delete certain information directly in the application.

NoWallKid also allows users to initiate deletion of their account using the functionality provided in the application.

Where the relevant feature is available, users may export certain data in the formats offered by NoWallKid.

Certain information may be retained temporarily after deletion where retention is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect the service, maintain security, temporarily preserve backups or establish, exercise or defend a legal right.

17. Use by children

NoWallKid is intended for parents, legal representatives and authorised adults in the context of family organisation.

The application is not designed as a service intended to be used directly by children.

The presence of a child profile in NoWallKid does not create a user account intended for the child and does not mean that the child is invited to use the service directly.

18. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect new features, technical changes, new providers, regulatory developments or additional data-protection measures.

The date and version number displayed at the top of the policy identify the version currently in effect.

Where necessary, users may be informed of a material change or asked to review or accept a new version.
