NoWallKid is an application intended for parents, legal representatives and authorised adults in the context of family organisation.

2. Data controller

Personal data is processed by NoWallKid, acting as data controller under the applicable data protection legislation.

NoWallKid may use RevenueCat to technically manage subscriptions, their status and the associated Premium entitlements.

Certain other transactions or services may be processed by specialised payment providers such as Stripe where that payment method applies to the relevant service.

NoWallKid never stores full bank card numbers.

4. Purposes of processing

Data is used solely to provide, secure, improve and administer NoWallKid.

NoWallKid does not sell or resell personal data relating to families, parents or children to third parties.

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Enable family organisation.
  • Manage children, tasks, routines, calendars, transport, reminders and history.
  • Enable controlled information sharing between parents and authorised adults according to the relevant family, role, permissions and assigned children.
  • Provide family chat functionality according to the access available within the service.
  • Process messages voluntarily sent to NoWallKid through “Between Us” or user support.
  • Provide specialist questions, child-related consultations and booking features where these services are used.
  • Manage invitations, roles and permissions.
  • Manage subscriptions, payments and associated entitlements.
  • Send transactional emails and useful notifications.
  • Protect the service and prevent abuse.
  • Provide user support.
  • Improve NoWallKid reliability and user experience.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. Legal bases

Depending on the context and applicable law, NoWallKid may process personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of the contract with the user.
  • Compliance with legal obligations.
  • Legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the service.
  • Consent where required.
  • Handling and processing requests submitted by users.

6. Children’s data

Information relating to children is processed to provide the application features selected by users and support family organisation.

Parents or legal representatives remain responsible for the information they add, modify, share or delete about their children, as well as for access granted to other authorised adults.

Users should provide only child-related information that is adequate, relevant and necessary for the features they choose to use.

NoWallKid is intended for parents, legal representatives and authorised adults and is not designed as a service to be used directly by children.

7. Health data, allergies and medicines

Certain features may allow parents or authorised adults to record potentially sensitive information concerning a child, including allergies, blood group where available, medical contacts, medicines, treatments, doses, schedules, reminders or information useful in an emergency.

Such information is entered by users under their responsibility and should be limited to what is relevant and necessary for the feature being used.

NoWallKid does not medically determine, infer or validate this information and does not verify the accuracy of allergies, blood group, doses, treatments, prescriptions, frequencies or other recorded medical information.

NoWallKid’s organisation, child-profile, reminder and tracking features do not, by themselves, constitute a medical device. NoWallKid does not provide diagnoses, prescriptions or medical advice in its own name.

In a medical emergency or where there is concern about a child’s health, users should contact the appropriate emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional rather than relying on the application.

8. Access to data

Access to data depends on the relevant family, the user’s role, the children assigned to that user and the permissions granted. The same user may hold different roles in different families.

Parents or responsible users with the appropriate rights control access granted to relatives, caregivers, educators or other authorised adults and may modify or revoke that access.

Caregivers and educators can access only the children and categories of information for which access has been granted.

NoWallKid’s technical or administrative access depends on the feature and architecture actually implemented. Messages voluntarily addressed to NoWallKid through “Between Us” or user support are intended to be received and processed by authorised NoWallKid team members.

Family chat conversations are not systematically read or moderated by NoWallKid. Where the chat architecture does not allow administrators to access conversation content, NoWallKid cannot review that content in order to intervene in an exchange.

Where NoWallKid does have technical or administrative access to data for operation, security, support or compliance purposes, that access is limited to authorised persons and the corresponding operational need.

9. Family chat

Family chat allows authorised family members to communicate as part of family organisation.

NoWallKid does not systematically read or moderate family chat conversations. Where the technical architecture does not provide administrators with access to conversation content, NoWallKid cannot review those messages.

Participants remain responsible for the information they choose to share and should avoid communicating unnecessary or excessive sensitive information.

10. “Between Us” and user support

The “Between Us” feature allows a user to voluntarily send a private message or testimonial directly to the NoWallKid team. Unlike family chat, these messages are intended for NoWallKid so that authorised team members can receive, process and answer them.

Where the feature is available, NoWallKid may propose publication of a testimonial in an adapted or anonymised form.

Submitting a message through “Between Us” does not by itself authorise publication. Where publication consent is requested, the user may accept or refuse through the mechanism provided by the application.

Refusing publication does not affect normal use of NoWallKid. User-support requests are likewise accessible only to persons authorised to handle them.

11. Specialists and child-related consultations

Certain features may allow a parent or legal representative to ask a question, request a consultation or book an appointment with a specialist concerning a child to whom that parent or representative is authorised to have access.

The consultation is oriented toward the child concerned. Information necessary for the question, booking, follow-up or consultation may be disclosed to the relevant specialist.

Consultation content is not automatically accessible to relatives, caregivers, educators or other adults who otherwise have general access to the family. Access depends on the permissions and confidentiality rules applicable to the relevant feature.

Specialists may be subject to their own professional, legal, ethical, confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Depending on the processing activity and contractual framework, their data-protection role may be distinct from NoWallKid’s role.

NoWallKid provides the technical infrastructure and service functionality. Professional assessments, diagnoses, prescriptions or decisions made by a specialist remain the responsibility of that professional within the limits of applicable law and the relevant professional relationship.

Specialist consultations through NoWallKid are not an emergency service.

12. Notifications

NoWallKid may send useful notifications relating to tasks, medicines, transport, invitations, security, subscriptions, support, “Between Us”, chat and specialist features.

Where a caregiver or educator completes an action delegated to them, the relevant parents may receive a notification according to their preferences and the features enabled.

To reduce the exposure of sensitive information on locked screens, some notifications may use deliberately general wording and invite the user to open the application for details.

13. Data retention

Data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service, manage the account, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, ensure security and allow authorised users to manage family history.

Certain data may be retained temporarily after deletion in technical backups or where retention remains necessary to comply with a legal obligation, prevent abuse, protect the service or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Data relating to payments, invoices, transactions or accounting obligations may be retained for the period required by applicable law.

Where data must be retained after account deletion, access is restricted and retention is limited to the period necessary for the relevant purpose.

14. Security

NoWallKid implements reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, accidental disclosure or misuse.

However, no computer system can guarantee absolute security. Users must also protect their credentials and report any unauthorised use of their account.

  • Access controls.
  • Separation of roles and permissions.
  • User authentication.
  • Protection of credentials and authentication information.
  • Logging of sensitive actions where necessary.
  • Service security monitoring.
  • Management of active sessions.

15. Cookies and similar technologies

The NoWallKid website may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the service, remember certain preferences, measure website usage and improve the user experience.

Where required by applicable law, users may manage cookie preferences using the tools made available on the website.

Further information may be provided in NoWallKid’s Cookie Policy.

16. Specialists and professional recipients

When a parent or legal representative uses a specialist feature concerning a child, data necessary to handle the request may be disclosed to the relevant specialist.

This may include the child’s profile, context provided by the parent, relevant health information, messages, documents or other information voluntarily submitted for the request.

The specialist receives only the information made available through the relevant feature and access rules.

Specialists may process such information under their own professional, legal and confidentiality obligations and under the contractual framework applicable to their relationship with NoWallKid and the user.

17. Third-party services and processors

To provide certain features, NoWallKid may rely on specialised service providers, platforms and technical partners.

Depending on their role and the relevant service, these third parties may process certain data only as part of the services provided to NoWallKid or in accordance with their own applicable obligations.

NoWallKid selects providers offering appropriate data protection and security safeguards and, where applicable, contractually governs their processing of data in accordance with the intended purposes and applicable legal requirements.

Some providers may be located or process data outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area. In such cases, NoWallKid ensures that appropriate safeguards are implemented where required by applicable law.

  • Apple for application distribution, in-app purchases and subscriptions purchased on iOS.
  • RevenueCat for the technical management of subscriptions and associated Premium entitlements.
  • Stripe for payments and transactions to which Stripe applies.
  • Supabase for technical infrastructure and databases, depending on the services used by NoWallKid.
  • Resend for transactional emails.
  • Notification services used by mobile platforms.
  • Technical providers required for hosting, security, maintenance or support of the service.

18. Your rights

Depending on applicable law and the conditions set out therein, you may have the following rights:

NoWallKid may request additional information to verify the requester’s identity before processing a request relating to personal data.

  • Access your data.
  • Request correction.
  • Request deletion.
  • Request restriction of processing where this right applies.
  • Request export or provision of certain data where applicable.
  • Withdraw certain consents where processing is based on your consent.
  • Object to certain processing where permitted by applicable law.

Requests may be sent to support@nowallkid.ch.

19. Account deletion and export

Users may initiate deletion of their account using the functionality provided for this purpose in the application.

Account deletion results in the deletion or anonymisation of associated personal data where its retention is no longer necessary, subject to data that must be retained to comply with legal, accounting or security obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Certain data may temporarily remain in secure technical backups before final deletion in accordance with the applicable backup cycles.

Where certain data must be retained after account deletion, access is restricted and the data is retained only for the period necessary for the relevant purpose.

NoWallKid may also allow users to export certain data in the structured, readable or downloadable formats offered in the application.

For any difficulty relating to account deletion, data export or the exercise of your rights, you may contact NoWallKid at support@nowallkid.ch.

20. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect legal developments, introduce new features, take account of new service providers, strengthen security or improve transparency.

The last updated date shown at the top of this policy identifies the version currently in force.

Where necessary, users may be informed of a significant change or invited to review or accept a new version.

21. Contact

For any question regarding this Privacy Policy, the processing of your personal data or the exercise of your rights, you may contact NoWallKid at support@nowallkid.ch.
